Artisage

Five artisans, five disciplines — marquetry, furniture, sculpture, ceramics, and material invention. Each one selected not for volume, but for a single question: could anyone else have made this?

Where mastery meets a maker's own hand.

A NOTE ON DISCRETION

The makers featured here are real, vetted, and under active relationship with Curoq. Their identities are held in confidence as a standard part of how we curate — the same discretion any serious design house extends to its sourcing. Provenance is verified directly for confirmed clients.

CUROQ SELECTION — MARQUETRY

The Vanishing Craft

A design studio of six, all of them fine artists and trained marqueteurs at once — no separation made between the person who designs a piece and the person who makes it. A technique once reserved for 16th-century Florentine palazzos, applied now to superyachts, private jets, and residences built for the same standard of permanence.

Four Decades, One Standard

CUROQ SELECTION — FURNITURE

Founded by a maker barely into his twenties, after a graduate show sold out in weeks — oak with hand-carved contemporary patterns, crystalline marble finishes inspired by wind-eroded rock, and a bio-composite honeycomb material grown from waste straw and soybean-derived resin. Four decades on, recognised with an MBE for services to furnituremaking.

"The coming together of bright, ambitious minds, and the most skilled hands, to create extraordinary pieces."

Inspired by the microscopic beauty of cellular diffusion, this innovative piece transforms natural particle movement patterns into precision-crafted artistry through advanced CNC machining and laser etching techniques.

Drawing from the naturally occurring process of diffusion - where particles move from regions of high concentration to low concentration - Cell Diffusion captures these organic patterns in sustainable luxury. Crafted from reclaimed solid timber offcuts from the Silverlining workshop, the piece features a polished crystal resin lens revealing micro-etched metallised resin patterns that shift and warp with movement. Two distinct finishes further accentuate the intricate diffusion patterns, creating a mesmerising interplay between nature's microscopic processes and contemporary craftsmanship.

Luxury, Unsettled on Purpose

CUROQ SELECTION — AVANT-GARDE DESIGN

A dark, avant-garde signature applied to furniture and object alike — traditional luxury transformed through materials and finishes that push rather than settle, creating pieces that read as statements before they read as function.

A Wall That Refuses to Be Flat

CUROQ SELECTION — ARCHITECTURAL SURFACE

Architectural surface treated as its own discipline — repeated forms, folded and faceted into textures that shift with the light moving across them. A practice that's shaped surfaces from private interiors to hospitality flagships, always asking a wall to do more than divide a room.

Sieve’ consists of suspended metallic pixels designed to slot together in opposing directions dependant on the illustrative or functional design. This innovative surface enables a manipulation of visual opacity, and can be used to control privacy, light, or even display striking imagery seemingly suspended in the air.As a piece of sensory artistry, the screens can function as immersive backdrops or spatial dividers, while also acting as sculptural yet functional elements within an interior. The screens are meticulously hand assembled by our skilled production team. Our control of angles generates imagery, movement, and character tailored to individual clients and context.

Clay, Made Monumental

CUROQ SELECTION — CERAMICS

Ceramics as a fertile, boundless medium — monumental bas-reliefs and giant totems alongside chairs, tables, lamps, and vases, each one handmade in a single studio, drawn from the light and shadow of California's landscapes and modernist architecture.

"I am constantly trying to find the perfect balance between Art and Design."
