Old canals, made into new light.
Made-to-order illuminated sculptures from Adelman's New York studio, exploring the tension between structure and fluidity — a reimagining of the 16th-century caged-glass lampioni of Murano, once carried to light the canal paths of Venice after dark. Here the cages are cast in sculptural bronze, proportions deliberately thrown off — glass overblown until gravity takes over, swelling into forms that read as unmistakably bodily. Adelman has said the pieces feel "as if you're seeing something private." Finished in patina brass, antiqued nickel, or blackened bronze, with glass in opal, fog, dew, or plum — captured at a single suspended moment: between containment and escape, tension and release.
Overglow - sculptural lighting
Inspired by Piet Mondrian's late turn toward elemental geometry — Adelman stripped her own visual vocabulary down to its angular essence, then went looking for the wild spirit inside that rigidity. Brass tubing and mold-blown mini glass globes, joined at a hinge that lets each rod dip and dangle under its own gravity — vertical and horizontal in tension, structural purity intact, and configurable in effectively infinite arrangements. In mottled brass or tarnished nickel, the tubes read like salvage from a shipwreck; in Luna, a finish inspired by the moon's surface, the piece turns matte and layered; oil-rubbed bronze gives the whole collection a sharper, more graphic edge.

Andromeda - Sculptural lighting
Exploded geometries and comet-like glass diffusers, in burnished brass, bronze, silver — or marble veneer milled to a single millimeter. Contraction and expansion, held in explosive balance.
Glass that remembers its own motion
Freehand-blown glass in satin opal white, carried by hand-twisted brass — canon fusil, sanded and raw aluminium joiners. ≈15 kg, H60 x W300 x D50 cm. A single branching form, three meters wide, built from the same instinct as the tree it's named for.

Gravity Ripples - Freehand Glass
A suspended installation of 58 glass cives, freehand-blown, hung from steel bar and cable. Each piece retains the memory of its own making — the centrifugal force that shaped it, glass caught between liquid and solid, evoking the original energy that still organizes the universe.
Molten glass collected, poured, and pressed into a flawless cylindrical form — the pressed layers inside catching and softening the glow. Cast glass and aluminum, dimmable, in finishes from white to champagne. Named for the French word for "pebble": glass reduced to its purest, most essential shape.
